HeyNomadic — Nomadic
Hi, I'm Nomadic

A Nairobi girl
filming Africa,
one country at a time.

I grew up in Nairobi with a phone constantly in my hand — not scrolling, but filming. Everything felt worth capturing. The way the light hit the Ngong Hills at 6am. The chaos of a matatu in traffic. The quiet of a Sunday morning in Karen. I didn't know it then, but I was already becoming a filmmaker.

In my early twenties I started travelling outside Kenya for the first time. Tanzania first, then Rwanda, then further. And something shifted. I realised that most of the world had never seen Africa the way I see it every day — not the version in documentaries, not the poverty narrative, not the single story. The real Africa. The beautiful, complex, electric, heartbreaking, joyful Africa that people who live here know intimately.

So I picked up a camera properly. I learned to edit. I started posting. And slowly, people started watching — not just for the destinations, but for the feeling. That feeling of being somewhere that changes you.

I'm not trying to be a travel blogger. I'm trying to make films that make you feel something. That make you look up flights at midnight. That make you fall in love with a place you've never been. That's the only thing I care about.

Africa is my home, my muse, and my obsession. But the road keeps calling — and I keep answering.

Why I do this

"I believe travel is the most powerful form of education there is. And Africa deserves to be seen."

Most travel content about Africa focuses on the same five destinations, the same safari shots, the same narrative. I want to change that. There are 54 countries on this continent — each one a completely different world. I'm working my way through all of them, one camera at a time, and bringing you along for every mile of it.
